

Teniola Zara King

Branded as “One To Watch” by The Islander, British born, Nigerian raised Teniola Zara King, is a writer and director that recently graduated from the prestigious London Film School.
Teniola’s career in TV and film started when she was employed as a Production Assistant on Africa’s first late-night-talk-show, Highlites With IK, where she was quickly promoted to be the Line Producer on the show after only four months. After a year in this role, she also took on the job of Series Producer for M-Net TV Drama Series, Head Over Heels.

Hungry to acquire the skills and knowledge to create her own content, Teniola eventually resigned from her job to return to England to pursue a Masters in Filmmaking at the London Film School.

After two years of studying all aspects of the filmmaking process and working on countless short films in a variety of roles, Teniola decided to pursue the path of a writer and director.

Teniola has just completed her AMVCA nominated short film “Teju’s Tale” which is part of Unearthed Narratives a five-part short film series produced by DBK Studios in partnership with Sky Studios.

Teniola went on to Shadow Direct on Sky Original Drama, The Midwich Cuckoos and Shadow Direct on Netflix’s #1 Show Who Is Erin Carter? produced by Left Bank Pictures.​ She is currently developing her debut TV Series with DBK Studios and Sky Studios.
